I have been working with Scharlatan – Theater für Veränderung since spring 2024. As a business theater, it supports companies in change processes, especially in change communication. With its own academy, it also offers a range of workshops and programs for personnel development.
What makes it special: Theater and acting techniques meet modern corporate management methods. This combination of technically sound tools and playful communication is particularly well suited to developing and strengthening people beyond their comfort zone.
In the context of change, business theater makes change tangible. The company’s individual issues determine the script and the staging.
On stage, professional actors play out scenes from employees’ everyday lives. But the employees are not in the middle of the action, instead they sit on the sidelines as an audience and watch from the outside. And they think: “Wow, they are expressing my expectations. They are voicing my doubts and fears. I am being heard after all, I am being understood.” This creates trust and openness for the process. The actors also show what is possible through change, how the new reality can work. This makes a positive outcome to the change conceivable and increases the chance of a successful change.
The Scharlatan Academy is also based on the methods of theater and combines them with modern leadership and coaching approaches. Accordingly, the workshops and development programmes offered by the Scharlatan Academy are always about finding your individual role, internalizing it and acting from the strength of your own personality. This empowers participants to apply the techniques they have learned authentically and effectively.
In our collaboration, I bring my experience from corporate practice into the proven methods of corporate theater and the Academy’s offerings. This makes our collaboration particularly effective and hands-on.
